Femmes et Vins du Monde, a gathering of international world wine reference, notched up 4 diamond awards to UWC and Muscat wines.

With four more DIAMOND awards, the magnificent Muscat wines of timeless value were honoured by the Unified Winemaking Agricultural Cooperative of Samos, at the prestigious international competition “Femmes et Vins du Monde 2025” , held in Monaco.

Since 1936, when the wines of UWC Samos got underway to participate in credible international competitions with the strictest criteria, have been the ambassadors of the centuries-old wine heritage of rural Samos, which continues to unite generations, regions and people alike.

The consistently high quality of the Cooperative wines has given the 1,500 winegrowers-members of UWC Samos 11 diamond awards, as well as honourable distinctions that reach the record number of a thousand!

With 4 diamonds (the highest international wine distinction) the “Femmes et Vins du Monde 2025” were awarded to the much beloved oenophile consumers:
The brand new creation of the Cooperative, the amazing VDN (with a score of 96 points) was awarded with a NOVA de DIAMANT prize. The semi-dry top seller, Babel Oinos rosé, was honoured with TWO DIAMOND awards as it was also distinguished with a very high score in the separate “International Guide of Rose Wine Competition” organized at the same time in Monaco.

In addition, the aromatic semi-dry Vavelinos white, excited the wine experts, who evaluated it and gave it the DIAMOND it deserves. The eternally unsurpassed “Psiles Korfes” who stand out in any competition participated in, were honoured with the NOVA D’OR gold award.

These significant distinctions are the reward of the great efforts by Samos Cooperative thanks to the love and dedication of its viticulturist-members and are the very embodiment of the identity of a viticultural continuity that is constantly evolving. These distinctions strengthen the reputation of Muscat wines internationally, confirming the commitment of UWC Samos to quality production with respect for tradition but also with the use of modern know-how on the part of its oenologists, who “shape” such wines.

At the international competition “Femmes et Vins du Monde Monaco” , which is internationally recognised as unchanging, wines are tasted exclusively by female judges who are considered experts on a global scale in oenology, wine, wine tourism and gastronomy.
