Wine’s Characteristics
Vriniotis Winery-IAMA Rosé 2020 PGI Evia, 100% Vradiano
Origin & Identity
Rare indigenous variety that thanks to the hard work of Konstantinos Vriniotis not only saved from extinction but now gives to our glass exceptional dry rose and dry red wines marketed under the brandname IAMA. In addition, from the same variety two dessert wines are vinified with the names G and G plus.
The visitable family winery Vriniotis is located in Gialtra of North Evia, an area known for viticulture and wine production from the Homeric era. It is situated at the top of the hill of Gialtra with a breathtaking view.
It is worth touring the wider area with the amazing beauty of Lichadonissia and to end up in the hospitable area of the winery for acquaintance with the winemaker and delicious enjoyment of his wines.
Wine Description
IAMA Rosé has a soft salmon-pink color.
On the nose aromatically complex with rose, raspberry, stone cherry and red currant in the foreground. Notes of bergamot, butterscotch caramel and icing sugar are beautifully framed by plant hints.
Equally aromatic in the mouth with red fruits predominating. Medium volume body with delicious cool acidity, very well integrated, which is exceptionally combined with its 12.8 alcoholic degrees.
Aftertaste that lasts with a beautiful fruity and slightly tannic finish.
Harmony with Food
IAMA Rosé is an excellent recommendation for the lavishing summer repertoire of Greek gastronomy.
You can start with a fresh green salad with red fruits.
Served at the ideal temperature of 8-10 degrees, it is deliciously combined with oily dishes and especially with stuffed tomatoes.
It will provide a whole different dimension to pasta dishes with seafood such as the famous Fisherman’s spaghetti while with baked salmon will lift off your senses.
Salmon’s pink meat tempts us in summer months to serve it with Tagliatelle, Kozani’s red saffron and sun-dried tomatoes, a recipe that IAMA Rosé will offer more successful matchpoints.
Saganaki shrimps with tomato sauce is a must along with the sweet and sour dishes of the exotic cuisine.
With pizza in the evening in front of the TV but also just as an aperitif, IAMA Rosé, will “lock in” in your taste memory, growing expectations for the next pleasure of flavors.
