For seafood enthusiasts, Platamona’s shrimp, crimson red mullets and fresh fish are the reference points of “tall man’s fishing boat”(Mr. Vasilis Kalamaras). Reaching the village, make a short stop to Charikleia’s tavern, to Perivolos or Aleko’s. Visitors are introduced to traditional cuisine with a twist at the taverns such as Olympos, Platanos, Petrino, Thomas and JR George Goulara’s, best known for Harry Klynn’s comedy film, Allaloum.
Τip: Slopping down the village’s square, underneath Platanos, try the glassy clean water coming from the concrete fountain. The flowing water springs from Οlympus’ sources.
