Sculpture exhibition entitled Circle Geometry highlights the way that ancient Greek culture is combined with modern circle economy’s concept.
At the Mystras Grand Palace hotel meeting room that fully represents the mysterious grandeur of past eras, embodying in the absolute the concept of a singular holiday experience in an opulent and fairytale setting in Paleologio Sparta, on 09, 10 and 11/09/24 and in a special cultural event, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, visitors of the Sculpture exhibition will have a unique opportunity to discover the value of principles of the circle economy and to see up close how these are aligned in complete harmony with the ancient greek cultural heritage.
Getting to know the artist and elements combination of ancient Greek tradition in the light of a modern perspective
The fascination exerted by the idea of creating something from scratch with his own hands already from the first years of adolescence was the starting kick of the visual artist Alexandros Papastratigakis.
The combination that mixes elements such as talent, art, recycling and engineering with inspiration that derives from the diversity of the natural environment and ancient myths of Sparta of the self-taught visual artist, gave the impetus to start his own artistic personal journey into the world of of metal, granting breath and form to sculptures and decorations of small and large dimensions.
Already possessing a wide collection of works of art available both in Greece and abroad and pioneering private or state initiatives of artistic creation with circle economy and reuse as cornerstones, the sculptures encompass a special relief with a historical background.
His works travel with a desire to meet a larger audience with a love for art, who appreciate its uniqueness and diverse forms of expression, and to engage with wider and diverse aesthetic views.
