The Journey of Taste is a book featuring recipes of Chinese cuisine distinguished for their alternative combination with Greek products.
Chinese cuisine is an important part of Chinese culture, which includes cuisines originating from various regions of China, as well as the culinary preferences of overseas Chinese who have settled in other parts of the world. Due to the Chinese dispersion and the country’s historical force, Chinese cuisine has influenced many cuisines in Asia, with modifications made to suit local flavors.
The concept itself….introducing us The Journey of Taste
An initiative – a project, to create Chinese cuisine recipes with the addition of goods from the blessed Greek land, which offer an excellent taste result. Culinary creations, which are simple and easy to implement, in every home kitchen.
Chinese and Greek gastronomy are celebrated, together, in the kitchen and at the table!
In this cross-cultural journey, a great company was formed: Greeks who love the wonderful Chinese cooking, Chinese who have heard about the fine goods of the Greek land and want to taste them, excellent professionals who try and innovate in fusion cuisine, producers and businesses that offer Greek products to international markets, electronic and printed media that promote and enhance gastronomy, institutions and organisations that highlight it as a basic part of culture.
In every corner of Greece, the Journey of Taste discovers traditional fine products that stand out for their unique taste and high nutritional value.
Dedicated growers and producers continue, faithfully and respectfully, the tradition of sustainable and environmentally production of the goods of the Greek land, in fertile and bright places without pollution and environmental burden.
The golden-green color of the olive oil, along with its fruit, is generously offered by the olive tree, which is found in every region of Greece.
Bees harvest the fragrant thyme honey under the blue sky, on the islands of the country.
Kozani saffron, the Greek saffron that the growers, with great care, collect by hand.
Fresh fish is caught in Greek seas with clean waters, while the roe from the lagoons offers a unique taste.
In plains and mountains, there are the pastures from which excellent quality meat derives. Yoghurt with its distinctive texture and feta cheese, the gem of the widespread “Choriatiki salad”, are the most renowned Greek dairy products.
Since the time of Homer, Greek vines have been producing fine grapes for the production of luscious wines. They also grant us the internationally known black and blonde raisins. Due to both excellent climate and fertile soils, a series of excellent products are manufactured in various regions of Greece, such as juicy and vitamin-rich citrus fruits, oranges and mandarins, well-known for their taste pistachios along with small and large beans.Herbs unravel the storyline of every place, adding flavor to every recipe and protecting health.
