Sauvignon Blanc 2019 Vegoritis Winery
A prestigious yet very promising winery founded in 2005 by winemaker Christos Boskos located in Aghios Panteleimonas in Amyndeon.
Premium series include white varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Gewurztraminer in single variety vinification,while on red Syrah and Xinomavro with the latter being distinguished in Thessaloniki’s International Competition in 2020 as the best Xinomavro of the competition.
Blends as well as sparkling complete the collection.
Sauvignon Blanc 2019 PGI Florina has a bright lemon colour with green weaves.
Intense and complex nose giving aromas of green fruit and freshly cut citrus with hints of green tea, while as it opens up pineapple and unripe passionfruit are emerged.
Dry in mouth, with medium volume body and noticeable acidity that masterfully balances with fruit and alcohol.
An intense aftertaste that lasts and evolves.
Combined harmonically with raw or steamed shellfish, ceviche sea-bass, sushi, fresh fried squids with crispy crust and medium size fish cooked on a pan or grill.
Green fresh salads with a dressing of olive oil ,lemon and mustard.
Tarts with zucchini, fennel-meatballs, vegetables risotto but also with pesto pasta or spaghetti with lemon, shrimps and fennel.
Chicken with zucchini but also exotic dishes with ginger.
Concluding, it would be a good fit for enriched goat cheese varieties.
Aging ability of 4-5 years in good storage conditions.
It has won a Gold metal on the 22nd Competition in Berlin and Gold metal on the 19th International Competition in Thessaloniki.
