Treasures of Corinthian Land run back on July 16 to the Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth next to the temple of Apollo.

In a sacred place that unfolds an eternal narrative, the event “Treasures of the Corinthian Land” aims to showcase the agro-tourism scene of the site at full blast with local products and producers having the first word contributing to the development of the contemporary culinary scene.

In one of the most renowned archaeological sites in Greece, just a stone’s throw from Athens, with the number of visitors reaching 150,000 travellers every year, history and culture meet gastronomy and compile the ultimate experience for visitants further strengthening the tourism brand of the region.

More specifically, the event is under the auspices of the Peloponnese Region, the General Confederation of Professional Craft Merchants of Greece (GSEVEE), the Trade and Entrepreneurship Federation of Peloponnese, South-West Greece, Zakynthos, Cephalonia & Ithaca (OEESP) and the Hellenic Confederation of Trade & Entrepreneurship as well as and with the Support of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth, the American School of Excavations of Corinth, the Chamber of Corinth, Wyndham Poseidon Resort & the Culture & Sports Center of the Municipality of Corinth.

Visitors, as part of the event, divided into two parts, will attend the Conference held in the Archaeological Area, next to the Temple of Apollo, with speeches by 7 distinguished speakers from the field of archaeology, gastronomy & hospitality, while in the outdoor area of the traditional village a unique Live Cooking show will take place where guest Chef George Stylianoudakis will confect 5 new local recipes inextricably harmonised with the local culinary scene. He will be joined by Giannis Bratsolias, Executive Chef at Wyndham Poseidon Resort & Ramada Poseidon Resort along with  Kostas Georgatzas, Executive Chef at ELETRO Greece.

In a parallel manner, there will be tastings and acquaintanship with the local producers and their goods as well as a cocktail session by Toucan Bistrot with raw materials exclusively from the region.
