Greek meze is the crossroad of custom and culture reflecting the use of traditional recipes with contemporary cooking techniques.
The word meze originates from the Persian mazeh (مزه), meaning taste.
In Greece, meze accompanies ouzo, tsipouro, wine, retsina and beer. Typical appetizers of Greek cuisine are “alipasta” (cured meat or fish), olives, various salads such as tzatziki, cheese salad and fish roe salad, octopus, saganaki, pastourma, beans, sardines, etc.
Kastellorizo Group’s Omicron meze is an original proposal in a wonderful place of high aesthetics in Kifissia.

What is the culinary culture and identity at Omikron Meze?
Omikron is an authentic crossroad of cultures and tastes. It is housed in an imposing building of unique architecture with dishes and recipes that know no borders.
The entire Omikron team supports the tradition of the Greek meze, we are inspired by it and develop it creatively always with respect to the raw materials.
Besides, in the culture of our country, meze is a great Greek custom.
Where are Omikron’s dishes inspired from? Greek flavors or world cuisines?
Ιn the restaurant, the visitor finds a multitude of “appetizers”, some of which have strong flavors and aromas, others are milder, others are smoky and others are salty. They are inspired by Greek cuisine and the whole team shows special care and love to the raw materials.
However, gastronomy has no limitations and thus we are inspired by flavors, ingredients and techniques from all over the world, creating a multi-faceted result. The “bite” philosophy is the central idea at Omikron, whether in the form of a main course or as a side dish.
Are “Ηellenity” and “locality” two main elements that represent the restaurant?
Indeed! Hellenity and locality are two of the basic elements at Omikron meze, but at the same time I combine them with international trends and suggestions.
For instance, a Greek local product can be perfectly combined with an ingredient from Japan, serving an original proposal to the table and skyrocketing the culinary experience.
After all, it is our duty to support tradition, to promote local producers through recipes, but to do all this a step further with respect.
