To vromiko allios is a book by Konstantinos Dimoulas with vegan recipes for you, who follow a balanced diet but enjoy favorite junk food.

So, what do you eat? Lettuce; This question has haunted me for several years, almost every time I mention that I do not consume animal products.

Does it bother me? Not, to be honest. I clearly understand where this question originates from.

Besides, in the past, I also persistently asked the very same question to my friend, Christos, even to the extent of becoming annoying.

You see, several years ago I couldn’t imagine passing a single day without consuming any kind of animal product. But let’s start from the beginning…

I am Konstantinos and I’m a vegan food blogger.

I mean, I own a webpage on the internet and every week I upload two wonderful and mouthwatering vegan recipes.

In general, in the past I was a  type of an individual, who could literally ‘devour’ three burgers, gyros and a chocolate pie in a single day.

At some point of course, around 2008 just before the crisis, this all changed due to a health problem that forced me to reduce the quantity of animal products.

And yes, I cried at start, due to the fact that I experienced a revelation followed as I was watching a documentary and the exact moment deep inside in less than two hours everything changed.

So after two or three videos and documentaries, I felt that the time had come to reverse my whole perspective about the world and decided to become the best version of myself.

Veganism had now changed shape for me and it wasn’t solely about me.

Further to the initial shock and present conscious choice of veganism, my health steadily improved.

For a long time, and especially at the beginning, my diet consisted mainly of fruits, vegetables, Greek butter, nuts and, on a whim, some pie with French fries.

You could say my diet was pretty decent, but I was an adolescent, who loved “junk food” and something had to be done about it.

That’s when I got into the kitchen and started experimenting with different vegan recipes.

After a while, it became clear to me that I didn’t need to consume only salads and ladera and that I definitely didn’t need to deprive myself of things that I loved so much, especially burgers.

My new creations were not only smooth and delicious, but also, once I learned how to use the ingredients, I realised that they were also quite easy.

With the limitation in ingredients on mind, came the inspiration and gradually grasped that there is literally no food that cannot be “veganized”.

Thus, ‘beets-me.com’ was brought to life.

My enthusiasm and love for cooking made me want to share all vegan recipes I learned and discovered.

At first, it was friends and acquaintances who showed admiration for my cooking and along the way started to manifest itself from third parties and subsequently thought to try and create my own blog.

My effort and persistent work started intensively in 2018 and finally after a quite deal of effort, dedication and quite many ups and downs, on March 9, 2019 the first vegan recipe was uploaded.

From then until present, every week I present two new recipes.

Meanwhile, towards the end of 2019, I had the inkling to collect some of my favourite recipes in a book. To be honest, I wanted to grant a gift to a very good friend of mine.

Ultimately this gift, which was never bear fruit, gave rise to the creation of this book, ‘to vromiko allios‘, you hold in your hands.

To vromiko allios is basically a collection of my beloved vegan recipes, from burgers and sausages to gyros and vegan eggs.

Easy vegan recipes that have nothing to envy of their non-vegan versions.

Why choose ‘to vromiko allios‘?

Because I was a person who could live only on burgers and gyros and I finally became the answer to the same question I asked myself for so many years “Obviously I don’t just eat lettuce! Just flip through to vromiko allios and you will find out!

Happy cooking!
