Turkey burgers with honey-mustard sauce is a favorite recipe, especially for women, when they want something easy, light and utterly delicious.
The minced turkey is mixed with many herbs and a few spices and the ideal accompaniment is a nutritious green salad. The same recipe can be used as a base for a turkey burger or a chicken burger.
Ingredients
For the minced meat
- 250 gr minced turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 clove of grated garlic
- ½ grated onion
- 5 slices of bread in breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- ½ bunch of chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon of herbs (oregano, tarragon, thyme)
- 1 tablespoon of mild mustard
- Salt and pepper upon preference
For the honey-mustard sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of flower honey
- 1 tablespoon of chopped chives
- Freshly grind black pepper upon preference
Cooking preparation
Prepare the sauce by mixing all the ingredients until they are homogenous and preserve in the refrigerator.
Knead the minced meat, adding all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well until you get a mixture that does not stick to the hands.
Heat up a large non-stick pan or grill and shape into burgers of about 100 grams and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
Serve the burgers pouring over the sauce and freshly grind pepper.
