The presence of the bear is very common in the area, while other mammals of the region that make up the versatile ecosystem of the lake are wild cats, roe deer, foxes, badgers, hares, squirrels and woodchucks.
Lake Zorika and the area that surrounds it are among the wildest and most appealing regions of Greece. A point of reference for every traveler, who wishes to discover the natural wealth traveling from Metsovo and the lake of the springs of Aoos, to the beautiful Zagorochoria and the region of Valia Kalda, where the dazzling Vovousa is located.
