Leonis Summer Houses accumulates special features making your stay at Mykonos the perfect place to be exclaiming: ‘Let’s get pampered!’

Leonis Summer Houses is a complex of 4 houses, 3 studios, 2 suites and 1 villa built according to the traditional Myconian architecture in a 5000 square metres field and designed in such a way, as to secure and maximise the privacy and comfort of its guests. It is constructed in uneven levels, so that all lodgings have private verandas with a breathtaking sea view to Ornos beach, Korfu beach and the town of Mykonos. It is ideal for guests who are not just looking for a hotel room, but are searching for an experience.

Once upon a time in Mykonos…

Joanna and Orfeas always shared a passion for traveling and loved the sea. They learned how to sail and soon started cruising the Greek islands. On all their visits, the island that literally captured their hearts and minds was Mykonos. They discovered the Cycladic island long before people started yelling “Mykonooooos” on quad bikes. When they found a piece of land with a view, decided to build a logging where guests would feel as if they were on holidays in their own summer house.
In 1991, Leonis Village opened its doors and word of mouth was soon off the charts.

Whatever knowledge of “5-star services” Joanna and Orfeas lacked, they made up for in friendliness and personal care. Once the summer season of 2011 ended, the creators of Leonis decided that it was time to pass the torch to the one after whom they named the place, their son Leonidas. After a major career turn in order to continue their legacy, Leonidas decided to breathe new life into Leonis, while maintaining his parents’ principles regarding the respect to tradition and to the environment, as well as the personal care involved. In 2012, Leonis Summer Houses was born and now you are part of the story…

Elegant hospitality nestles in Leonis Summer Houses
Studios #2 #5 #9

These are the simple double rooms, but there is nothing “simple” about them. Ranging in size from 32 to 35 square metres, rooms offer absolute comfort and a stunning view to the Aegean Sea.

Studios #2 and #5 provide fully equipped kitchens, while it is possible to make their living room sofas into a bed for a third person.

The rebellious Studio #9 provides a microwave oven, an ideal option for couples who intend to spend more time at the spacious private terrace than in the kitchen.

Suites #8 #10

f both suites are available during the dates that you will be visiting Mykonos, then you are in for a hard dilemma. Good news is that you just can’t go wrong with any of them.

The suites offer space in abundance, as well as the most breathtaking sea view possible. You will have to use “Panorama” to take it all in. Suite #8 is slightly bigger (72 m²) than Suite #10 (52 m²) and it provides a separate bedroom from the living area. Suite #10 is in the form of a loft and the sea view from its large window-front never fails to amaze its guests.

In both suites, there is a private terrace with day beds and outdoor furniture, in order to enjoy the gorgeous sea view.

One-Bedroom House #7

Traditional Myconian architecture dictates that one of the buildings should be styled after a traditional pigeon house and House #7 is exactly that. Standing tall and looking over the entire complex, this particular one-bedroom house of 70 square metres, hosts four persons and is divided into two levels.

In the ground floor, one will find the living room, the kitchen and the dining room, as well as two single built-in beds and a bathroom. The upper level contains the bedroom and a second bathroom.

A living room sofa may be turned into a bed for a fifth person, at a small fee. The private terrace of the house offers an idyllic sea view and is equipped with outdoor furniture.

Two-Bedroom Houses #1 #3 #6

All guests who have enjoyed a holiday experience in one of these two-bedroom houses stretched in an area of 75 square metres, can’t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Mykonos.

In the ground floor there is the living room, the kitchen with a dining table, one bedroom and a bathroom. The upper floor consists of the second bedroom, as well as the second bathroom.

The Villa #4

This is the one that Joanna and Orfeas initially built for themselves when the hotel was first created. Please feel free to shout “it’s MINE now!” upon entering and then laugh maniacally.

The ground floor consists of the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, one bedroom along with a dressing room and a bathroom, as well as a storage room. On the upper floor, one will find the master bedroom and the second bathroom.

Leonis Summer Houses is located above the beaches of Ornos and Corfu, offering a magnificent view. Ornos is one of the most popular beaches of the island, where guests can choose both Greek (Konstantis cuisine) and ethnic flavors ( sushi of Kouzina). Ornos beach is the starting point for taxi boats bound for the southern beaches of the island, such as Super Paradise, Paraga and Elia.

For water sports fans, the beach of Corfu is ideal for surfing. The excellent kite surfing school on the beach allows guests to book lessons or simply rent their equipment.

Agios Ioannis beach is within walking distance from Leonis Summer Houses. It is one of the first famous beaches of Mykonos – due to the movie “Shirley Valentine” in 1989. A once secret little cove that has become a favorite spot for many, but still remains quite secluded in the early morning hours is Kapari beach.

Leonis Summer Houses has also been awarded “ISTOS” (“Innovation for Sustainable Tourism & Services in the South Aegean”), which means that it contributes to reducing the environmental impact caused by its operation, supports the historical and cultural identity of the area , while operating with consistent quality standards.

What guests love to review…

An oasis of peace and tranquility. Beautiful views from all accommodation perched on a small hillside. All Houses and studios are individually styled to a very high standard.

Every morning we had our breakfast delivered to us on our terrace and had a lovely selection of pastries, cereals and locally made jams!

In one of the most profound confessions of Leonidas Karantzalis, the owner of Leonis Summer Houses in Mykonos refers:

If there is one thing I have learned after running Leonis Summer Houses for the last 11 years is that it comes down to a unique and indescribable feeling one gets during their stay here. I have heard ofcourse numerous wonderful comments on our signature breakfast, I have had people praised our commitment to Myconian architecture and culture, the breathtaking sea view to two different bays often mentioned, while the privacy that each looks fοr is not easy to find. What literally drives people to keep coming back and supporting this small boutique hotel so enthusiastically though is- to use the words of a guest who checked out today ‘that is just felt great being here’ If you do believe that there is a certain aura surrounding each place, then lie back on one of the new loungers and let yourself absorb this energy, which stems from all the love and passion that has been fuelled into Leon’s Summer Houses throughout all the years since the early 90s, by my parents, my team and myself included.
