Air Wine & Cocktail Tasting, the ultimate wine and cocktails event, held at the Temple of Apollo, lifted off senses with local flavors.

A stone’s throw from the archaeological site of Ancient Corinth, Karamitsos Winery from Nemea and the exotic spot of Corinth, Toucan Bistrot made an amazing “wine” treat at the Temple of Apollo.

The wines at the open-air wine & cocktail tasting event of the estate with Agiorgitiko, Malagouzia and Assyrtiko varieties being the ultimate protagonists of the signature cocktails compiled by the bartenders of Toucan Bistrot, left an aftertaste of flavorful impressions to the attendants.

“Locality…in your glass!”

The open-air wine and cocktail tasting event commenced by savoring three labels of the winery with the event’s presenter and sommelier Katerina Karsioti analyzing the organoleptic characteristics along with the flavor combinations for each one of them and subsequently moving along to the main feature of the event, which included 3 signature cocktails based on 3 different wines “shaking” up the palate with fresh flavors and dynamic aromas.

Label: RIZA

Riza of 100% Agiorgitiko, the primary red variety of the region is aged for 6 months in oak French barrels. With an intense purple color, aromas of red fruits & amazing notes of vanilla, spices & tobacco, Riza makes a livelier appearance in the glass as well as on your palate. Rich flavor with soft tannins and long aftertaste.

Label: Two Lions White

Two lions, a blend of 40% Assyrtiko & 60% Malagouzia, is a unique proposition coquetting with your most refined mood. It features a shiny greenish-yellow color, with a complex and classy nose white-fleshed fruits, flowers and citrus fruits, with undiluted aroma and buttery notes. In the taste, the lively acidity blends harmoniously with the sweetness of the alcohol and the abundant extract resulting in these valuable ingredients to contribute to the long aftertaste.

Label: Aphrodite

Aphrodite recommends an excellent rosé wine of the estate from 100% Agiorgitiko. The rose color of the combination with the aromas of caramel, red fruits, cherry, blackberry, sour cherry and blackcurrant provide a balanced and at the same time dynamic rosé that you will indisputably include in your agenda. Mouth with good balance of sweetness, alcohol and acidity. Good quality tannins act supportively, leaving it soft.

Gluehwein Riza: with Agiorgitiko Riza Nemea aroma-flavored with ginger, long piper syrup, orange, cardamom

Twist Old Fashioned: with Agiorgitiko from Aphrodite label, petimezi syrup and a combination of bitter orange essential oil and chocolate

Aperitivo: With Malagouzia and Assyrtiko TWO LIONS, fig shrub from Agiorgitiko RIZA NEMEA, Aperol,
orange essential oil and bitter spices
